A Community Conversation
We are excited to invite you to a community conversation focused on enhancing our local parks and trails through District sponsored Park Watch Programs, Adopt-a-Park Programs, and Adopt-a Trail-Programs.
This “community conversation” event aims to bring community members together for a discussion on working together to foster community safety, security, and pride.

Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, June 26
- Time: 6:00p-7:00p
- Location: Oroville Convention Center – 1200 Myers Street
Agenda:
- Park Watch Program: Learn about how you can help monitor and protect our parks.
- First Steps
- Recruitment/Scheduling of community individuals/groups to “be present” in our parks.
- Participate: Be present in one of the core area parks 1x/week for 1 hr.
- Document: Take notes/take pictures
- Report: Promote/celebrate positive activities/experiences in our parks. Share your observations of undesired activities and/or concerns with District staff.

- Community Safety: Strategies to ensure a safe environment for all.
- Community Security: Measures to enhance the security of our shared spaces.
- Community Pride: Initiatives to foster a sense of pride and ownership in our community.
